Abideen Adelu and Murtala Sanni win $1M during African entrepreneurship award
During the 2016 African entrepreneurship award, in Casablanca, Morocco two young Nigerian entrepreneur, Abideen Adelu and Murtala Sanni were amongst the 11 winners
The Moroccan president, Othman Benjelloun was chairman of the ceremony that took place on Monday, December 5.
According to the organisers of the event, the main aim of the award was to compensate the most significant and sustainable businesses in three categories including education and environment.
African entrepreneurship award multimedia revealed that in the course of judging the competition, 37 persons reached the final out of which only 11 winners were selected.
Abideen Adelu won with a mobile application for students and Murtala Sanni won his award with an online platform for skilled workers.
BMCE Bank of Africa revealed that $1 million was allocated annually for the award and President Benjelloun, said the award was to compensate the most significant and sustainable businesses in the categories.
The award was also to inspire entrepreneurs to launch and scale up businesses, create jobs and improve lives in Africa.
